About me
Welcome to My Own Definition! I'm Sounally Chanthaminavong, and I'm a twenty-year-old student at BYU-I. Currently, I'm back home for recovery and here to share the journey. Because of the flood of love and concern about my health and conditions, I decided to start sharing my story and the lessons I am learning as I figure it all out.
I have been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gastroparesis (stomach paralyzation), a pituitary tumor in my brain, and am pending diagnosis for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a chronically painful genetic illness that has gone undiagnosed for years, but that has fostered countless opportunities to learn all the incredible things I've been blessed to learn. Thanks for joining me on this adventure as I learn to live life with chronic illness, fighting to live with chronic optimism. My name is Sounally. I have chronic illnesses, but it will not define me. I define myself, I am the author of my own story along with a loving Heavenly Father, and I am making my happily ever after. Thanks again for coming along!
