The Best Story Ever

I've spent the past few months doing some of the most intense growing of my life. That's what life's all about. So many amazing things have happened, miracles have rained down just as heavily as my tears. There truly is "opposition in all things", but that's the beauty of life.
"Do you know the first step to trying your best? It's to TRY."
To be honest, there are too many things to share that I haven't processed yet, which is why I haven't posted in so long. I have allowed my fear of inadequacy prevent me from acting- that is one of Satan's favorite tricks. If he can convince you to hold yourself to a level of perfectionism, he can confine you to be stuck in the same spot, never progressing. If you can believe that you can't do it unless you're perfect, you're never going to. The thing is, no one asks you to be perfect, you're just asked to try your best, and do you know the first step to trying your best? Its to TRY.
So here I am, trying. I am taking the first action to break free of the excuses I have been hiding behind. The first step to anywhere is taking action, following the Spirit. Every day I pray to be an instrument in the Lord's hand, leading me to write, "not knowing beforehand the things which I should do", but I feel impressed to share one of the most important things I have learned over these months of silence.
I'm here to tell you that you will have your happily ever after
We all want a happily ever after at some point, right? Well I'm here to tell you that you will have your happily ever after (here's how). But you're gonna have to work for it. Remember in every love story, it wasn't just handed to them. There was a fight, there was heartbreak. We love these stories because of the adventure that excites us. So let me tell you the BEST STORY EVER:
I love ‘love’. I am fascinated by it. Love is like an adventure story. After the once upon a time, we start with the call to the journey; the reason why. Love is something we all strive for and all need. It’s the basics of life. Consciously or subconsciously, we are consumed with it. Love is the journey of a lifetime that takes a lifetime. There are battles. We fight for love going outside of our comfort zone because nothing grows there. There is mystery. From the outside looking in, it is easier to tell the ending, but from the inside, we feel so lost. Lost in a fog without knowing where the path is; and amidst the confusion we think we’ve found the answer, but quite often, we will have to go through arrays of people before finding our solution. There is pain. The more burns, the more scars just make our skin grow thicker. There is discovery. Along the trail of broken hearts, we wizen up and in the end we thank God for those scars because they eventually led us to our love. The tears of heartbreak turn into tears of joy. When two people find love it’s like an explosion of happiness glitter. That’s what I imagine because I always imagine happy things to have glitter. But the sad part of the story is once they find their love, they think it’s just happily ever after from there on, but it isn’t. The story doesn’t stop there.
Quite often, once they’ve fought to find love, they think their journey is done, but do we ever think to fight to keep love? Just because you’ve gotten your treasure doesn’t mean that you are safe from things trying to take it. In fact, it is the exact opposite. Now more than ever is it so vitally important to fight for and protect love. It cannot be taken for granted; EVER. In that circumstance you will soon learn that it has slipped away from you right in front of your own eyes. That is why love is a team effort that must be fought together to keep and be kept as special as it was the moment it was found. Love grows through time and becomes genuine, true love. Between once upon a time and happily ever after, there is a great search, a revitalizing discovery, and a secret battle, but it is the best story ever told; and it’s yours.
There is so much in store if you are willing to fight the battle to win it, and never give up the fight to keep it. You make things special by the way you treat them. Go write your story, make your own happily ever after.
